My girls and I love going to the Summer Movie Series! So fun to see those awesome movies on the big screen with great audience interaction! We have enjoyed many plays at the Orpheum too.
I haven't been since I was kid when I saw the Rugrats live on stage so my memories of the place are pretty vague. My sister and I attended the showing of Psycho last night and I must say that I enjoyed myself very much. It is a very spectacular building. I enjoyed the guy who played the Wurlitzer organ before the show and I was thrilled to see that alcoholic beverages were served at the concession stand :-). Im looking forward to visiting again soon.
The historic theatre is always a magical place once you step in there. From the time you walk in till the time you leave the staff is always friendly and helpful. The shows are always amazing. This place is by far my favorite place in downtown Memphis.

Saw RENT last night. The Orpheum is one of the most beautiful theatres I've been in.
On the first floor, there are 3 lady's bathroom stalls. THREE. Come on guys. You renovated everything but the main floor. We lady's would appreciate not having to wait the entire intermission time
RENT was wonderful. The Orpheum is a beautiful space and I look forward to going to all the shows. Two ladies in front of us talked the entire time as well as use their cell phones. This hasn't happened to us in a long time.. what is the best course of action for such events that unfold?
