I am exceedingly grateful to Virginia Downing, as she led me to get help for my son that I didn't even know he needed. The information she generously shared with me led me to seek specialist support for my son including a sleep study. He has been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, and I would never have known this without Virginia's support. I met Virginia a little over 2 years ago. I was 34 and suffering from debilitating 24-48 hr migraines 1-2 times a week. A friend commented that my minor tongue tie might be the cause. The tie didn’t hinder speech and my mom thought it didn’t hinder feeding (but asking her a few questions made it clear that it did) so doctors never fixed it. Virginia is so gentle, putting my shy six year old son at ease as she evaluated his breathing, tongue and bite. She has very achievable goals as far as exercises to do and a pocket full of practitioners to suggest if you need further care. So glad we came here to address my son's lisp, mouth breathing and tongue tie (now we know).
