Great atmosphere – Ormsby's is one of my favorite spots. They have a wide array of games(ie-boccee ball and shuffle board) coupled with a very nice selection of beers. I would highly suggest Ormsby's to anyone who is looking for a fun-filled night in a unique atmosphere.
Just love this place! – Ormsby's is everything a bar should be - even the doorman is supercool and fun! Beer list is exceptional, food is really great - burgers, dogs, pub food etc. each served with a unique twist. Yeah, it's almost always crowded, but if you're a twenty or thirty-something and looking for a date, this is the place to go. I've rarely seen such a group of happy, good-looking, fun-loving people of all races - guys and girls - in one place at the same time. Games in the lower level, more room upstairs. What I Dreamed Happened In Bars As A Child – Ormsby's does a lot of things really well. There is parking right next to the bar. I've never gotten there and been fussed about trying to find a park space. The door man is always friendly and polite. My mom, a friend, and I ended up there one night and he checked her ID and stamped her hand, much to her horror. But the next time I went back he asked how she was and remembered her name. Very cool right? He's a really nice doorman...despite his giant stature. The staff is usually ... read more
Not great. – This place was not all it's hyped up to be. The parking is free and close by with plenty of spots. The decor is great with a BIG screen TV. The beer selection was great. On the bad side, our waitress was very rude and talked down to us because we were younger than then average crowd. The bar area got crowded and spilled over into the seated section. Unfortunately this made it difficult to move around from your chair or sit comfortably. There is also no smoking allowed which I hate at a bar so that was a big minu... read more
Unique and Crazy Cool – This place just oozes cool. The people, the concept, the space are all chic -- merely walking inside the place ups your own cool quotient just by association. And the beer selection is great. Try the Tripel Karmeliet -- one taste warrants a Homer Simpson-esque "mmmmm beer." There's a plethora of games to be played or watched, including indoor bocce ball. And while I'm normally more focused on the drink list, I couldn't help but notice the space itself. I'm hyper-observant and tactile, and this place w... read more
Modernized childhood nostalgia at its best – If you were one of those kids that was always super-excited for the carnival to come to town, it's time to get excited all over again. And this carnival, as far as I know, has no plans of leaving town anytime soon. Ok, so there aren't any tilt-a-whirls or prizes to be won, but the menu features fancier versions of some of your favorite play-time junk foods like hot boiled peanuts, parmesan rosemary popcorn, hand-dipped corn dogs, maple sugar cotton candy, and caramel corn with can... read more
Hip Westside bar boasts interesting menu, games to play. – In Short Take the secret society feeling of Bookhouse, a beverage selection that rivals the Porter and a creative menu that’s channels Leon’s, then give it an underground space and cram it with a plethora of games to play like backgammon and shuffleboard. That is Ormsby’s in a nutshell. Lodged in the basement of White Provisions, it’s a bar-crawler paradise. The main level has cozy booths for those seeking a bite ‘n’ pint, while a center-cut staircase traverses into ... read more
