Great atmosphere – Ormsby's is one of my favorite spots. They have a wide array of games(ie-boccee ball and shuffle board) coupled with a very nice selection of beers. I would highly suggest Ormsby's to anyone who is looking for a fun-filled night in a unique atmosphere.

Just love this place! – Ormsby's is everything a bar should be - even the doorman is supercool and fun! Beer list is exceptional, food is really great - burgers, dogs, pub food etc. each served with a unique twist. Yeah, it's almost always crowded, but if you're a twenty or thirty-something and looking for a date, this is the place to go. I've rarely seen such a group of happy, good-looking, fun-loving people of all races - guys and girls - in one place at the same time. Games in the lower level, more room upstairs. You can sit and eat at the bar, too. Give it a try!

What I Dreamed Happened In Bars As A Child – Ormsby's does a lot of things really well. There is parking right next to the bar. I've never gotten there and been fussed about trying to find a park space. The door man is always friendly and polite. My mom, a friend, and I ended up there one night and he checked her ID and stamped her hand, much to her horror. But the next time I went back he asked how she was and remembered her name. Very cool right? He's a really nice doorman...despite his giant stature. The staff is usually pretty nice and helpful. They offer assistance as you try to sort out what you'd like off of their (very nearly pretentious) interesting menu. We ordered a lot of stuff that first night. These are the things I sampled: Onion Rings with Pot Roast Gravy Dipping Sauce and Sriracha Mayo Dipping Sauce: Great thick onion rings, and the pot roast gravy was so good! So well-seasoned. Maple Cotton Candy: Cotton Candy for grown-ups. Not sickeningly sweet, but so delicious and sticky. Bread Pudding: My first time having any. It was really good and different. I admit that I took my leftover bit home and just toasted it. I like my bread pudding more bread less pudding. I wanted to try the caramel corn, but it never happened. And now it's not on the menu. Which really really makes me sad. Really sad. On my last vist I told the bartender I was DD and ordered a Shirley Temple, she spruced it up and if I looked at it out of one squinched eye I could almost pretend I was having a real drink. There's a photobooth in there that I always give my money too. And there are lots of games that being maintained well. So, games, cotton candy, and the smell of beer? It sounds like a day at the fair or something. I'm not a big fan of the crowd that frequents Ormsby's though. But what should I expect with the Bocce ball court in there?

Not great. – This place was not all it's hyped up to be. The parking is free and close by with plenty of spots. The decor is great with a BIG screen TV. The beer selection was great. On the bad side, our waitress was very rude and talked down to us because we were younger than then average crowd. The bar area got crowded and spilled over into the seated section. Unfortunately this made it difficult to move around from your chair or sit comfortably. There is also no smoking allowed which I hate at a bar so that was a big minus. At the end of the evening a random waitress came by to clear our drinks and took away one full $12 gin and tonic and half of a $10 beer. When we asked the waitress what happened she claimed she didn't throw out the drinks. She argued with us for a while until a manager came over. My friend had to discuss the situation for several minutes before they would replace his drink. Very annoying and unprofessional. Plus the door guy didn't laugh at my joke which was really uncool. Enjoy this place at your own risk!

Unique and Crazy Cool – This place just oozes cool. The people, the concept, the space are all chic -- merely walking inside the place ups your own cool quotient just by association. And the beer selection is great. Try the Tripel Karmeliet -- one taste warrants a Homer Simpson-esque "mmmmm beer." There's a plethora of games to be played or watched, including indoor bocce ball. And while I'm normally more focused on the drink list, I couldn't help but notice the space itself. I'm hyper-observant and tactile, and this place was like a textural playground for my eyes -- stone walls, brick walls, copper counters, wood paneling, exposed pipes, cement floors, huge wood plank stairs. I'm not sure how a place with such an industrial feel also manages to be so warm and inviting, but it does. If only I knew about this place back during football season. I get the feeling it would be an excellent place to watch a game.

Modernized childhood nostalgia at its best – If you were one of those kids that was always super-excited for the carnival to come to town, it's time to get excited all over again. And this carnival, as far as I know, has no plans of leaving town anytime soon. Ok, so there aren't any tilt-a-whirls or prizes to be won, but the menu features fancier versions of some of your favorite play-time junk foods like hot boiled peanuts, parmesan rosemary popcorn, hand-dipped corn dogs, maple sugar cotton candy, and caramel corn with candied pecans. A solid beer list is one of the only things in Ormsby's that will remind you that you are still a "grown-up"...well, sort of. And if you're the playing it cool type, check out the intriguing selection of sandwiches and salads. Downstairs is the reason you came - the games. The highlight is the indoor bocce ball court, but you'll have to wait your turn! Write your name on the whiteboard and hang out. Don't worry though - there are plenty of other games to keep you entertained, such as shuffleboard, pool, darts, checkers, and classic video games like Donkey Kong. Definitely check Ormsby's out, but don't do it on a night when I'm there. I don't like waiting my turn. I want to play games NOW!!!!

Hip Westside bar boasts interesting menu, games to play. – In Short Take the secret society feeling of Bookhouse, a beverage selection that rivals the Porter and a creative menu that’s channels Leon’s, then give it an underground space and cram it with a plethora of games to play like backgammon and shuffleboard. That is Ormsby’s in a nutshell. Lodged in the basement of White Provisions, it’s a bar-crawler paradise. The main level has cozy booths for those seeking a bite ‘n’ pint, while a center-cut staircase traverses into a windowless basement that serves as a second bar and arcade hall. The menu goes the way of smart-bar-food-you’d-want-to-eat-while-playing-games: there are no entrees but one daily special, sharable bites and interesting sandwiches. Hot dogs get their own section of the menu, fries come with fancy dipping sauces and cotton candy makes for a playful dessert. With this perfect storm of coolness, certainly expect a crowd.
