I’m 62 years old with a severe on set of abdominal pain. After going through the metal detector and security at Orlando Health ED. Longwood. There was nobody at the front desk to check me in at 4 pm on a Monday. I was the only one in the waiting room ??? After finding a staff member I was told someone should be out there ? . I’ve been without my medication for two days due to their error. They promised to call once it was resent — but never did. It was finally sent an hour before the pharmacy closed, with no notice. Now it’s closed and I’m still without it.
On 5/21-5/22 I presented myself into the ER and met Dr. Mayfield. He was compassionate caring, knowledgeable, and very patient with me. I was complaining of issues with parasites and he did a full assessment of my arm, hands legs & scalp He also viewed pictures and videos of the issues that I was complaining about. Dr. Mayfield said he hadn’t seen anything like what I was presenting he have seen toxoplasmosis and tapeworms, but never what I was presenting to him. Was brought in a year ago from a Car crash, was made to climb into ambulance before being accessed for injuries. Left in the waiting room for two hours, told my complaints of pain weren't major because of the adrenaline stopping me from feeling most things. Bleeding leg wasn't looked at or bandaged, suffered severe bruising and scoliosis from accident but was told to just take Tylenol and go home.
