Two years with Dr. Shintani - disappointing year after another. The apportionment arrangement was messy, they changed twice and third time they canceled without calling, but a text as fyi. The frame and glasses I bought from them, they couldn’t adjusted it right for me - constantly dropping and sliding from my nose - their technicians aren’t as helpful either.

We have been with this clinic for two years, and unfortunately our experience has been consistently disappointing. They frequently push unnecessary upsells, and more concerningly, they engage in excessive billing practices. We tried to work with them on multiple billing issues, but the problems were ongoing. It often felt like they were manipulating both insurance and clients. We are now leaving the clinic, and we want to provide an honest review to reflect our experience. It has been truly frustrating.

I thought this was a decent place when I bought my glasses frames but they sold me a false warranty. The lady there told me I could replace my frames one time within a year if anything happens to them which was the reason I choose to shop with them. When I came in and asked about my warranty the lady who sold me the frames said it was her fault it was misinformation and she mislead(lied)me and ow well its nothing they can do for me. This is the best Optometrist I've been to and they have an excellent curated collection of nice glasses. I've been to many in the Bay Area, this is my favorite. Thorough exam with state of the art equipment, they are friendly and patient and while looking at photos of my eyes the optometrist taught me more about the eye than I knew.
