With our historic building sitting right on the Santa Rosa Sound in Fort Walton Beach, we want to make sure the meal and time spent with us is as memorable as the view. Come in and try our wide range of seafood items, including raw oysters, fish, shrimp, crabs and lobster crab cakes. RecommendedWe were going to another restaurant when we stopped for Gas. We asked a "local " if they knew this "other" place we were going to. He recommended the Shack. MAN am I GLAD he did. It was AWESOME!! Some of the BEST seafood I've had in a LONG TIME. Cassie, our server, was AMAZING!!! Will DEFINITELY be back next time we're in town. I've already told SEVERAL people at our hotel about the Shack. WONDERFUL dinner.
Great food, flavor and fresh!!! Excelente view!!
Was anticipating a wait but got right in. Definitely dependent on the tourist dollar and not for the working man as prices reflect. Service was very good, food was average at best but did fill me up. Fortunately it was walking distance from the hotel with a nice little park next door.
The food is fantastic and our Waitress was so sweet.
The lobster and crab cakes are delicious! Hubby had the shrimp jambalaya pasta and it was also very deeelicious!! we will be back
Our food was fresh and hot, we only had to wait 30 mins which was no big deal during dinner rush! I had crab legs and my boyfriend had steak. It was so yummy and we had a great server, her name was Taylor! I also recommend the crab dip, sooo good.

Awesome authentic seafood! Big fried oysters, real Gulf fish selection, nice plump shrimp, and other great selections! So many places on the coast now serve Swai (Vietnamese Catfish) under other disguises or names as to fool most people along with farm raised Asian shrimp instead of Gulf shrimp, and it’s tough to find authentic American seafood! The Shack is wonderful and won’t disappoint you! Huge selection and servings! I’ll be back! Our waitress name was Mimi and she was awesome!
