We had a wonderful experience with Kerry today. He was patient and never made us feel pressured to buy. We ended up purchasing a couple of beautiful pieces of pottery (Acoma and Laguna) to add to our collection at home, along with a Norvin Johnson stamped Kingman turquoise ring. The prices were very reasonable for Santa Fe, and we felt we received great value for authentic Native American pottery and jewelry. A big problem was the younger man worker came to speak to me when I was browsing. His words were slurred and I at first assumed it was just how he spoke until he got close enough to smell the alcohol on him. Was caught off guard with that and didn’t wish to deal with him after that. The rest of the employees were good and I wonder if they knew what was going on with the worker they had out on the floor. Me and my husband walked into this store on our last day in Santa Fe to kill some time before heading to the airport and we were blown away by all of the beautiful Native American art and by the look of the old building and then we were approached by a gentleman named Joshua and I applaud this young man for being so kind, respectful, and very helpful given the fact that we were just walking through at the time, we really enjoyed our interaction with him and the rest of the staff, they are so knowledgeable about the products ... read more
We were staying in Santa Fe in February/March & this was the first place we stopped when walking into town, drawn in by the look of the store. We were immediately set upon by a salesclerk asking if they could help us. No sooner had we told them we were just browsing when another clerk began pestering us. This happened everywhere we turned in the shop, it was worse than being at a used car dealer; I’m guessing everyone must work on commission because it all felt very high pressure.
