Excellent service, amazing massage, great value. – Not sure why the previous review was so negative. I started going to Oriental Retreat & Spa about 4 months ago and have been there for 3 times now. Oriental Retreat Spa Rip-OFF! – I was told of this place and decided to drop by.They were having a half off sale of a spa package which was 70.00 that included a 90 min treatment of massage, hand parrafin treatment and a herbal foot soak. The massage was in a makeshift room with walls that didnt goto the top of ceiling as I could hear everyone in the reception area and the people getting massages next door. You will be AMAZED how RELAXED you CAN BE! – 1. No Cameras can see in the rooms. There is one in the hallway between the rooms. The walls are pony walls, but you would have to be 11 feet tall to be seen by the cameras. (Note:if you cannot see the camera, the camera CANNOT see you!) 2. The pony walls do lend to a sometimes stereo experience of CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP. But I found it more funny than anything. 3. Exceptional service and quality! – I went to Oriental Retreat and Spa with my sister-in-law for a neck and shoulder massage. The masseuses are highly skilled and really work on your muscles; no lazy hands here! The pressure is intense and you will leave feeling as if your muscles have really been manipulated. Nice couple massage – We went for a couple massage. I got a pregnancy massage et my husband the regular massage. It was really nice. The environment is calm and nice decorated. The staff was really nice. They did everything to make me lay down comfortable. The massage from my husband was maybe not relaxing but it did very well to his body. As others say it is a pitty that the walls are not going up to the ceiling as you can hear what happens in the next room. But otherwise very nice place, clean and friendly staff.
Not a place to get a bikini wax – I got my first bikini wax here last year. It was dark in the room so I couldn't see how well the job was done. When I went home, I saw that it was neatly done. It did not look good. The service was mediocre. There could use more smiles in this place.
Unintentionally noisy, service not the best – The place is nicely set up and well decorated. The masseuse I had was very kind and attentive. My reasons for giving it on 3 stars though are for the following reasons: 1. The rooms were very noisy. The setup of the building is like a series of cubicles; none of the walls reach the ceiling so you hear everything that's going on during your service. 2. My best Spa experience ! – I went to this spa because my friend told me that they have a Spa Week special. I went there on Friday late afternoon. They were very busy. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. Then I was lead to a very clean and comfortable room. The massage was incredible. They use some kind of Chinese massage technique. A "Spa Week" Letdown! – On Friday, 9/22, I went to the Oriental Retreat & Spa in Kirkland for the first time to participate in a $50 "Spa Week" treatment. Having discovered The Sun Spa in Woodinville through Spa Week, I was expecting only the best -- instead, I was subjected to a long wait (I arrived early for my 5 pm appointment and had to wait 20 minutes for my "room" to be ready), I noticed that the massage table was covered in little black hairs (from where, I'm not sure...eek), and that my therapist was rather brusque. ... read more
