Hong Kong is nicknamed the “Oriental Pearl,” to where the practice of fine Chinese cooking can be traced. With this inspiration, the restaurant nestled in the heart of Chinatown attracts a huge tourist clientele as well as local patrons. The addition of authentic Chinese ingredients in its dishes is what sets the quality of its food apart from rival restaurants in the neighborhood. Enjoy delicious specialties like seafood clay pot, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork and BBQ spareribs. The dining room is reple... read more

Good for Chinatown, but not Great – This restaurant came highly recommended by our concierge at the Marriott, and when I saw all the reviews plastered on the walls on the way in, I was very excited. The restaurant is clean, the service is good, and considering the other options I saw in Chinatown, this might be a great restaurant in the area; however, I didn't find the food to be any better than your average neighborhood Chinese restaruant. Excellent foods and excellent service – I went there for a weekend meal. The service was excellent and the foods marvelous.. we had steamed talipita, egg plant in clay pot, peking duck, and scallop.. Cannot say enough how good is this place.
Excellent find in Chinatown – Had dinner on a Sunday night without a reservation. We were staying at the downtown Marriott and walked there in @ 10-15 minutes. We originally went to the Empress of China and left before ordering due to the rudeness of the staff. Hostess at Oriental Pearl was friendly and we were seated right away. Food was excellent and ranged in the $10-15 range for most meals. I had the chicken with special brown sauce (highly recommend) and my fiancee had the mongolian beef which was also excellent. A Pearl in Chinatown – This restaurant is a pearl among the greasy dives of Chinatown. We had Chinese Broccoli with dried salted fish, scallops and calamari sauteed with chinese chives and tofu soup with minced pork and seaweed. All carefully prepared and delicious. A 2nd floor location, linen tablecloths, a clean bathroom and a good heating system add to Oriental Pearl's charm. A good place to take out of town guests.
Oriental Pearl Restaurant has a 4.1 star rating with 578 reviews.
