Fantastic find! – My elderly mother and myself literally stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting from out of town. We saw it in a strip mall and pulled in, not expecting much more than fast chinese food. We were completely surprised and recommend this place to anyone! Great service, full bar, and excellent food! The sesame chicken is A+!

Delivery is an employee option, not a restaruant standard. – This restaurant can produce decent food when it wants to. Unfortunately, the whim of the owner or manager on duty prescribes the attitude and performance of the kitchen and wait staff. On several occasions, I have ordered meals between 19:00 and 21:00 (7:00 PM and 9:00 PM). Depending on the mood of the staff on duty, I might be received well, and get something to eat. Bad Experiences – WE ARE NOT CUSTOMERS OF ORIENT CAFE ANY MORE... From my last conversation with a lady from Orient Cafe, there has been a change in ownership. Here is a recap of our experiences: The last 2 times we have ordered delivery, we requested no snow peas, no bean sprouts, and to keep it light on the soy sauce with the fried rice. Great delivery, great dine-in – Love that they deliver! But enjoy dining in also (except the Kenny G background cd one time). Service has always been friendly and competent (Gerald is great & will probably be tough to keep). It is a large space and since we end up eating very late, there are generally only a few patrons left. Best Chinese Food around! – While I do wish there were more choices for Chinese food, ESPECIALLY DELIVERY, Orient Cafe is the best choice around the South Shore/Kemah area. It is a restaurant first, delivery 2nd but the staff are always friendly and helpful and you'll always be more than satisfied with the food. Poor Service – Food is excellent. Light sauces, fresh, not overcooked veggies. However, our last visit we did not get our egg roll and crab puff. Rather than saying sorry and fixing it they tryed to make excuses and blame us for not ordering correctly.
Really good food – This place offers really good food, especially for delivery. The vegetables are fresh and crisp, the sauces are not heavy and the chicken is good white meat. With so many bad chinese restaurants - this one is really worth a try!
