VERBALLY ABUSIVE OWNER – DO NOT EVEN TRY THIS PLACE. The BEST Chinese food in the city! – I literally eat here every week. The food is top quality, fresh, flavorful and a lot of choices so you will never get bored. The value is awesome. With delicious food like that & such large portions I don't know how they make money since everything is such a good price. The service is top notch as well. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO AN OWNER THAT YELLS AT YOU! – We had ordered from Orient Cafe before and it was satisfactory - has never been the best - but good enough for us to oder for the convenance of their delivery area. ******************BUT NEVER AGAIN******************** We ordered 4 items from the menu and 2 out of four were overcooked to the point that the chicken had a beef jerky texture. Fantastic find! – My elderly mother and myself literally stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting from out of town. We saw it in a strip mall and pulled in, not expecting much more than fast chinese food. We were completely surprised and recommend this place to anyone! Great service, full bar, and excellent food! The sesame chicken is A+!

Delivery is an employee option, not a restaruant standard. – This restaurant can produce decent food when it wants to. Unfortunately, the whim of the owner or manager on duty prescribes the attitude and performance of the kitchen and wait staff. Bad Experiences – WE ARE NOT CUSTOMERS OF ORIENT CAFE ANY MORE... From my last conversation with a lady from Orient Cafe, there has been a change in ownership. Here is a recap of our experiences: The last 2 times we have ordered delivery, we requested no snow peas, no bean sprouts, and to keep it light on the soy sauce with the fried rice. Great delivery, great dine-in – Love that they deliver! But enjoy dining in also (except the Kenny G background cd one time). Service has always been friendly and competent (Gerald is great & will probably be tough to keep). It is a large space and since we end up eating very late, there are generally only a few patrons left. Best Chinese Food around! – While I do wish there were more choices for Chinese food, ESPECIALLY DELIVERY, Orient Cafe is the best choice around the South Shore/Kemah area. It is a restaurant first, delivery 2nd but the staff are always friendly and helpful and you'll always be more than satisfied with the food.
