Scoops are HUGE! Very good.
A childhood staple for those that have making the expedition to Tahoe and a beautiful discovery for first timers. Thee "ooos" and "ahhs" of the line and the "mommy can I have that kind" at the counter is reminiscent of a better time. The only thing bigger than the portions are the eyes of the parents, kids, and everyone waiting in line, drooling but anxious on if they can defeat the waffle cone...bring napkins.
Huge portions. That’s the bottom line. A kiddie scoop is enough to feed an entire class of children. As someone lactose intolerant, I got the rainbow sherbet which was one of two non/low-dairy options. Long lines that move fast! Nice seating area outside.
We got as much joy watching other guests walk by with their gigantic scoops as we did eating our own! Each scoop seeming larger than the next. Drippy yummy scoops the size of grapefruits were called baby scoops! The line moved fast with the efficient, patient, servers. So much fun, a great location, plenty of seating inside, outside and in the shaded park next door. This was one of the highlights of our fun pack week at lake Tahoe.
