I was referred to Dr. Lifshitz by my internal medicine doctor for a terrible skin rash that I had for two years. Dr. Lifshitz took the time to listen to my concerns and explained that he needed to take a skin biopsy to confirm the cause of my rash. Dr. L did a great job explaining my skin problem to me and carefully reviewed the treatment he was prescribing. Within ten days my rash cleared up!
I have gone to him for a few years because he had the "light box" in his office for treating a condition that was diagnosed back home. This worked out fine. However, when he actually had to diagnose something, he was in over his head. He diagnosed contact dermatitis as herpes. He removed a cyst from my ear and cut the ear cartilage which resulted in an infection which was treated back home. He diagnosed psoriasis, and then neuropothy for what was actually scleroderma. Stay away!
Dr. Lifshitz is an exceptional dermatologist. I am a physician and I see him myself and refer my patients to him.
I have been a patient of Dr. Lifshitz for 3-4 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. He is very knowledgable and professional. His staff is wonderful as well. I have never had an issue scheduling and don't have to wait that long to be seen once I'm there. He has always resolved my issue and/or put a plan in place that delivers results. He takes his time explaining what's going on to me and I don't feel rushed when asking questions. His bedside manner is great and I would reccomend to others.
