I was on Vacation at Lake Kerr when my check engine light came on. So I just wanted an ODB scan to make sure it wasn't anything serious. Went up to Napa, and the 4 guys standing around at the counter said "we don't do ODB scans for customers." I was taken aback, but I asked why not? "Well, just because the scanner says a sensor is bad, doesn't mean that it is actually bad." I'm thinking, no doubt Captain Obvious. It's just a tool to help locate an issue. The guys over at O'Reillys have never done me wrong. Just took a few spare batteries I had laying around and they were super cool with charging them up for me. I usually bring all my used oil to this location as well and they never have an issue taking it
