On July 24th, I was passing through town with my wife and two small kids on the way home from Myrtle Beach when our vehicle's alternator gave up. We limped our way to O'Reilly Auto Parts and shared our dilemma with O'Reilly's staff. Two of their guys dropped everything they were doing to help me find the right replacement alternator, and then helped me put it on in the parking lot, using their tools! Went to this O’Reilly assuming I’d have to pay just to be told my battery was dead. Because, you know, nothing is free, especially car stuff. Turns out, the diagnostic was free, shocking. Colton, the sales rep, managed to test my battery, install a new one, and somehow juggle another customer and a constantly ringing phone without collapsing.
