We’ve been with Oregon Medical Group for about 4–5 years now, and I’m honestly surprised by some of the reviews and the overall rating. As a Deaf person, I usually require a bit more effort from the staff—whether that’s arranging an interpreter or using a note app with speech-to-text. The staff, nurses, and doctors here have always been friendly, respectful, and easy to work with. The doctors are great and take the time to listen. OMG has seriously gone down hill ever since Optum took over!! Since 2020, every year I have to find new doctors for me & my whole family although this last year I actually saw my latest new Doctor 2 yrs in a row, I couldn’t believe it. She is nice & listens to me but what was irritating, is I went in for a physical & right off she asked me if I had any health concerns so I said yes, my weight & blood test results so she talked a lot & kept going on & on. Can't book an appointment with my own Dr for over a year!! OMG has been ruined by their new owners.
When I was at the Westmoreland clinic and had Dr Garfinkel I was happy with OMG. However. No communication that he'd retired and I'd be reassigned. Whole different clinic! Now I'm at the Crescent office. I saw the PA, not the doctor I was assigned. She was great. Ann is her name. She listened, gave suggestions etc... My next appointment was with my assigned doctor. Ugh. Talked for a few minutes about my concerns now that I'm older. I.E. constant heartburn, weight gain, blood sugar concerns. The only response I got was, " Mmm... read more
Dropped me as a patient just because I had not been in for an appointment for 3 years. It was "lockdown" time frame. No one was going in for appointments unless it was an emergency. Was with them for decades. Staff were always nice but the corporate asshats that made this decision on thousands in my area should be fired.
