I've had multiple surgeries using OAG providers. Every one has called me the night before to discuss and really listened to my concerns. I've never had a bad experience with any OAG anesthesiologist.
Stay far away from Oregon Anesthesiology Group’s billing department. After more than three years, they suddenly contacted me claiming I owed an “outstanding balance” from a surgery following an accident. When I asked why this was surfacing so long after the fact, they said it was due to a billing system change and confusion during the transition. I have personally had 2 surgeries where my anesthesiologist was from OAG. One surgery at Meridian Park and the other at East Portland Surgery Center. Each time the anesthesia process was fully explained to me and I had the chance to ask any questions. Both times I had no issues with anesthesia. The bedside manner of both anesthesiologists was very friendly and informative. Additionally, I had no problems with my insurance. From my experiences, I can highly recommend OAG.
I had a recent surgery and prior met with the anesthesiologist to go over the procedure. He was warm and informative and made feel like I was in great hands! He also shared the after effects so there were no surprises!!
I've had several procedures in recent years with OAG doctors, most were scheduled in advance one was an emergency, regardless of the circumstances the care I was provided was always excellent. The anesthesia experience was very pleasant and I felt greatly attended to and reassured.
