About this business
This old fashioned, family owned coffee and ice cream shop is located in Captain Curt's Village a few hundred yards south of the Stickney point (south bridge). It is beside the bike and kayak rental shop. They are super friendly and have a gourmet coffee bar, 24 flavors of hand churned, homemade ice cream. It is my favorite local coffee shop! I've never left disappointed.

Staff was really helpful and friendly... I couldn't decide on a flavor, so the girl behind the counter offered me a sample of a couple options. Chocolate Hazelnut, Salted Caramel and Key Lime are my favorites! Tucked away behind Captain Curt's, it's our favorite dessert spot on the Key!
I loved the Orange Octopus, I got the turtle sundae with ewie gooee brownie ice cream, and it was REALLY good! The staff was very kind and helpful and welcoming! I wish they'd make one in Ohio

Best ice cream on Siesta Key!!! Great flavors, all homemade! They even make their own cookies cream ice cream ... and not by just adding cookies to vanilla ice cream to make it! So incredibly good, you'll want to make a second trip on the same day!
This is some of the best ice cream that I have had in Sarasota and I didn't know it was here before!! How have I missed out for so long?? I will be back. The honey Kentucky bourbon was delicious!!
When I was researching restaurants/ice cream places to visit this week, The Orange Octopus caught my attention in that it was literally the only place to have zero bad reviews. That reputation is well earned. I wasn't surprised when I went and had some of the best ice cream I've ever had. I had Kentucky honey bourbon, gator tracks, and something hazelnut maybe....I forget. It was amazing!! My only regret is not coming here earlier in the vacation.
This is some of the best ice cream we have had!!! Dare I say it's better than Big Olaf?!? I think it is! I tried the honey bourbon pecan and the sea salt caramel. Amazing!!! My friend had the gator tracks and loved it. Go try it. You will be so glad you did.
