I have experience with this business with two children. And I would give two separate 1/2 star reviews if I could. The consult process is atrocious, the wait is 1-2 hours despite having a scheduled appointment so plan to block out an entire afternoon. After surgery they give maybe a 10 minute recovery time and then walk patients out the door down a set of stairs while still experiencing the effects of the sedation. Waited over an hour and a half past appt time just for a 5 minute consult to be like “yep, agree with dentist that referred you”. Like that could’ve been a phone call. Waste of time and they just want that insurance money. Also $240 to pull a baby tooth not covered by insurance while they’re also doing other ones covered by insurance is absolute robbery and bullshit.
I’m mostly leaving this review for Kati, she was super helpful in billing she gets 5 stars. Give her a raise for explaining my bills clearly. The only reason this isn’t a total 5 star review is because I the first time I called the woman who was dealing with my originally billing was extremely rude.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Talk about RUDE!! The office staff and receptionist will give conflicting info, then gang up on you over the phone. 0 Customer service, all about money. Remember when we waited for my sons consultation and he ended up being the last patient seen (Hmm I wonder if state insurance had anything to do w/that), even though the receptionist advised to get there early at 12 for less of a wait??? He was not seen until 4.
Dr Sam Rickman and their team come highly recommended. A recent wisdom tooth extraction was surprisingly smooth and painless. The staff was welcoming, and Dr Sam Rickman thoroughly explained everything, which was reassuring. The recovery was quick and comfortable, thanks to their excellent care. If looking for a skilled and compationate oral surgeon, consider this option.
