I was referred to Dr. Sacco by my general dentist in order to resolve two previously restored pre-molars that had deteriorated to the point that they had to be removed/replaced. I last dealt with Dr. S 11 years ago for my first extraction of a Wisdom tooth, which went very well. My dentist's office was able to get me worked in at the OMSA Durham office when the practice I was originally referred to had to cancel. I was in considerable pain. Staff at OMSA are great! Dr. Ruvo took time to carefully explain the sedation and tooth extraction. Recovery was also great. I highly recommend this practice.
After 60+ years of being treated by many fine dentist and oral surgeons I thought I had experienced the best professionals..until yesterday. Dr.Ruvo removed 6 teeth under IV anesthesia and it was the most wonderful & incredible experience I have ever had. If that wasn't enough, he called my home last night at 8:30 to check to see how I was doing. If you ride in a Mercedes you expect a smooth ride...Dr Ruvo is the Mercedes of his profession.
My son recently had upper jaw surgery. We had been working towards it for over a year. We saw Dr Serlo and he was amazing. He was very Encouraging with his bedside manner, he asked my son what he wanted to get from the surgery and made sure we were aware of everything that was going to happen along the way. Dr. Ruvo has fantastic bedside manner. I went in to the office to get a root canal tooth pulled, a molar. In my case, I had seen a documentary called Toxic Tooth that made me realize my root canal tooth was probably causing issues for me. I didn't mention the documentary to him or his staff, but did mention that the tooth had been bothering me. About a week and a half after the surgery, my pain is almost completely gone (thank goodness). I chose not to go under local anesthesia, and rather just had my mouth numbed. That is a... read more
