Delicious cake! Mediocre service/attention to detail My experience with Oppulent cakes during the planning process wasnt as connected and enjoyable as was my experience with some of my other vendors, but I selected them because the cakes we tasted were so far superior, not only to any other cakes we tasted, but to any wedding cake Ive ever had in my life. Terrible Business Practices I ordered a two tier cake for my daugther's birthday. I went to pick the cake up two hours before her party. The bakery lost my order, even though I had paid a 50% down payment FOUR WEEKS before the party. I was given the deposit back and was told I would receive a voucher for a $150 credit to the store. A little too late ! I can say that I have not had a piece of cake from this store . For the fact of no one would ever call me back , or email me to answer questions that I had . I gave them my cell and my hm. ph. , and nothing . The one time I did get someone on the phone to ask for a special request for a sugar free or as close as possible for my Dad's 75th. birthday . Ms Poorly run, no organization. No wonder some people have a bad experience while others are delighted. Cakes are good if you can live with the poor service (for the former group) and high prices.
Everything you could want in a Wedding Cake! My (now) husband and I first learned of Opulent cakes at a Bridal Show in Fort Worth. What caught our eye was how their cakes SPARKLED! We walked over and had a sample of the White Chocolate Raspberry cake. We had never tasted a cake that was so delicious! Great Service and Product We had oppulent cakes do our wedding. It was one of the easiest things we had to do. We went in for a meeting and tried a bunch of cakes, told her what we wanted and that was about it. We never had to worry about it again. The cake looked beautiful and it tasted as good as it looked.
Opulent Cakes- truly a delight I don't understand why others may be saying that they've had bad experiences with this bakery- I've never had any thing but the best. My family orders all our cakes from opulent cakes and they have always gone above and beyond what we've asked for. Just recently they did my parents twenty fifth anniversary cake and it was not only gorgeous but it tasted wonderful. Premier Cakes If you want something lovely and delicious, this is the place to go. I have gotten many cakes from Donna and have never been disappointed. I have recommended her to many of my friends and will continue to do so. I am very surprised to see negative comments about her work. Among the various cakes I have ordered from her was the wedding cake for our 30th anniversary and it was breathtaking. Pat F
Fantastic cakes I have ordered at least a dozen cakes from Donna and my friends have ordered many many cakes from her for any number of occasions, including several weddings. I was shocked at the previous bad review in this column because we all love her, her service and her cakes. Her work is beautiful, her designs are fresh and original and her cakes are delicious. I have never known of a single complaint among my dozen and a half friends who use her for every occasion. Please give her another try if you weren't satisfied.... read more
