Terrible experience. Every time you get a call from them it’s an automated voice telling YOU to call them back. When you call them back you’re waiting a long time to get ahold of a real person. I’ve been disputing my bills for months now. Not to mention I’ve never been charged as much as they charge for very basic services like simple physical and prescription refills.
I’ve been waiting over three months for a sleep study referral—signed by my doctor—to be sent to the sleep center. Despite multiple calls and even an in-person visit, neither the office nor Optum’s referral center has successfully faxed it. The sleep center confirmed they still haven’t received the referral. This delay is unacceptable. Untreated sleep apnea can lead to serious health risks including high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and even dementia. For the love of God don’t go here. Unbelievably bad and expensive.
Coded my “new patient” visit to insurance wrong and it’s been a nightmare trying to get a hold of someone to fix it. Why even have a visit before your visit?! Just do my exam on the first visit! I’m sure it’s another way to make money but they know insurance won’t cover two visits. So I’m going to pay this $340 bill and NEVER go back. The Dr was fine. The business side sucks!
