The front office staff have always been friendly and helpful. Dr. Greenberg is fantastic, I wish he could be my PCP, but he is just ad-hoc as all my other Optum doctors have left the network & I'm without a PCP.
Avoid this place! All the five-star reviews were because of Dr. Sonya Walsh, but she left. She was my doctor for years. Now she is gone, and I've been trying to refill meds since last week, with both myself and the pharmacist calling. I have a new-patient appointment on file, and they still denied heart meds. I've been on hold for 1/2 an hour and am still waiting to speak to someone. I need these meds. I'm all out. Gosh I can't really give a review because we haven't been there yet. My cousin needs to get established with an optum much closer to home. But I see really bad reviews about the staff at most of the optums nearest to him. Now I understand why he has to be driven as far as the journal center or the airport. Thats how important customer service is, especially when a person needs their meds. For some its life or death to get meds. I see replies from facility owners with a number to call and complain. Every experience with Optum just gets worse! For over two weeks I've been trying to get prescription refills - no response. I've sent requests through my pharmacy and called the office multiple times. Nothing. It's obvious Optum does not care about their patients. This company is horrible.
I have had nothing but a positive experience with Dr. Loy, but this week I am having the same experience with the front desk attendant that another patient complained about recently: Poor communication and lack of compassion in trying to refill a prescription. A week ago, I asked my pharmacy to request a refill of my blood pressure medication. After three days, nothing had happened and I called Optum to ask for the refill (and to ask about the delay).
