Optum Radiology in Bethpage is one of my go-to medical facilities, and one of the big reasons is its location — it’s very close to my house, which makes it incredibly convenient. Had to get a test done and specialized insurance asked the office to call them for prior authorization for the test. When asked the office, they said they called but it wasn’t covered so they had to go through my primary. While I was in my appointment, my husband heard the woman who told me she had called the insurance company, yelling in the office in front of him and other patients, “Go ahead fire me, I’m looking for another job anyway”.
