The referral department is horrible 3 almost 4 wks waiting for 2 referrals , the they changed the request date on they’re own. I will be filing a major complaint!!! And switching this place is horrible. And the office manager is never available! So they say free paychecks
The referral department in this place is absolutely horrible! No matter what the situation is they always get it wrong. It took 3 weeks for me to get a referral to my hand Dr. which is completely uncalled for. I called the office manager & left 3 messages she didn’t have the decency to call me back which wax VERY RUDE ! I've been a patient at this OPTUM clinic for many years. I can only say that my Dr. (Michael H. Link), is awesome. Other patients administrative services, such as: "Referrals, Approvals, Prescription Refill Requests, Calls Returns", can only be labeled as "Horrendous". I called to verify different pills I got from Publix pharmacy when refilling my meds. Dr Vega responded and talked down to me the whole time. I suspect it's in their culture. Was told he was leaving the practice within a week. Not a day too soon IMO. He was downright disrespectful and chastised me for researching the pill's shape, color and markings online when all I was doing was using the resources available to me to look up the different pills I had received and then called them to confirm.
