Patricia Perino, nurse practicioner, took my appointment on short notice for a tick bite (Shelter Island has a high incidence of lyme disease) and wrote me a prescription for antibiotics. I then received a bill for $580 for that 10 minute visit. When i contested the bill, i was given the runaround and nine months later still can't get a straight answer as to why on earth i would have been charged such a fee for a simple visit.
