Jon has an amazing range of expertise in areas that are so needed. He has helped me so much with things that have improved my life in many ways.
Jon has helped both my daughter and me. He helped identify the cause of my neck pain and developed a program to not only address my pain but gave me tools to continue to exercise. He was the first person in Des Moines who had an idea of why my daughter was experiencing severe joint pain and after several sessions, he had her running on a treadmill without pain. Jon is SO smart and is truly dedicated to helping his patients.
Jon took care to ensure we made a thorough plan for my recovery and rehab following my liver transplant surgery. As different issues would come up with my weak core, scar pain, and weakened lower spine, he would reassess and continue giving great care to strengthening my weak areas and ensure I wasn’t hindering them even further. I looked forward to each day of therapy with Jon. He has great bedside manner as a professional and offers the utmost expertise and guidance in his field.
For years I have struggled with “back” pain. Jon was able to identify that it was really my SI joint and now I feel better than I have in years.
Jon helped me with my sciatic nerve pain, after two visits he identified several things that I was doing that were leading to this pain and gave me tools to correct them. He was very helpful and the prices are very reasonable. Also he had helped rehabilitate my wife after a severe knee injury awhile ago, this was how I originally heard about him. She can jog and do everything she could before the injury again! If you want a lasting solution to a physical problem I definitely recommend.
In my time here at Optimum Performance PT I have already learned so much as an intern. I am a student athlete at Buena Vista University. This is my first true internship at a PT clinic but I have been to other PT clinics for my own injuries. I see plenty of differences in where I went compared to OPPT. Jon has been absolutely amazing with my shoulder surgery recovery. Cannot thank him enough and would recommend him to anyone needing physical therapy after surgery or instead of surgery. extremely detail oriented well thought-out plan for my recovery efforts and it's been extremely helpful. Equipment is also top-notch!

All exercises and home care is tailored to each person. Jon is a expert and that treasured provider who knows how to get the most out of the body without causing a secondary problem.
