I saw the light when I left this practice. 13 years. No diagnosis. Over 40 medication changes. Waste of time.
Terrible service, I had an appointment booked which they had to cancel as they had double booked me. They then offered the next appt in 6 weeks time and that’s the best they could do. The practice manager hung up on me after i had simply asked in a calm manner if there was anything they can do, after she lied and said to stop telling (which i was not). For a mental health service, that was one of the rudest ways someone has spoken to me.
After spending nearly $1000 for an ADHD report with an ADHD psychologist I was then referred to Optimind for an appointment to get medication. Then told on the phone that they do their own testing (of course they do, such a rort) which would be around $1350 plus a few consultations with at around $350 each. So to simply get medication would cost me over $2000. This is the height of abusing the system and taking people for a ride, utterly disgusting and dishonest. Won’t be going anywhere near the place.
There should be a minus for the accounts lady Michelle she is nothing but rude and all she cares about is money. The psychiatrist who sees my husband is amazing, but for a clinic to disclose to a GP clinic that an account has been unpaid is not professional and it’s also a privacy issue. Only some of the reception staff are polite but as for Michelle she either needs to learn people skills or be sacked. When we are suffering from mental health issues such as depression, we need concise, respectful communication from our health providers. Instead, we are charged for a 4 minute “phone consultation” if our health provider has called us even though we showed up on time for an appointment and were only told about a location change via a time confirmation text 2 days prior to Christmas.
