This company is running ads saying people won’t need to wear masks (“tires of wearing masks?”), encouraging folks to sign up for a COVID medical trial. Insinuating that someone won’t need to wear a mask if they get the vaccine trial is radically dangerous and makes me question the validity of this company. There is no cure for COVID-19, and any vaccine is in medical research stage. As a four time clinical trial volunteer, and a PA/ scientist with clinical research experience, I was left speechless and appalled after a recent introductory telephone screen regarding participation in your study to "Assess the Safety and Immunogenicity of M-001 as A Standalone Influenza Vaccine and as A H5N1 Vaccine Primer in Adults" (NCT02691130). After disclosing my current medications, prescriptions that are legal under federal as well as state law, I was told that I "had to be clean in order to participate in the study... read more
