The actual cleaning went well with dental hygienist but the doctor has no bedside manner. Smoothes my tooth down and didn’t explain that will expose and take off enamel, just walked away afterwards. My jaw up to my ear was extremely sore. Got a second opinion from another dentist entirely about tooth because I could not trust her judgement. If you are on OHP they do not care about you.
Was told twice what my portion after insurance would be. A year later they say I owe more. Asked many times for an itemized bill. Never got one. Now they turned me into collections and I finally see an itemized bill which the padded! No wonder they didn't want me to see it! Still fighting this nightmare 3 years later and taking legal action. I tried getting a appointment with a receptionist and was told the appointment was set up then I was called saying I was no longer assigned to the location the person was very rude I called delta dental who I have through ods the agent I spoke with apologized for the inconvenience and said that shouldn't be the case. Previously I had tried to make an appmt and got the same person she was very rude so I asked to speak with the office manager and was put on a long hold. Unfortunately I was sent to these buffoons by the VA for Outpatient Community Care. I went in for a broken tooth and a cracked tooth. The buffoons didn't do a periodontal screening with the appointment, as per needed by the VA for screening., So after review by the VA, my care was denied. Optima never contacted me at all during any of this. For months, I've been trying to get this resolved. Optima plays the old game "we never got the approval from the VA."
