I use the xl in every tank. It really made the injectors in my 1995 7.3l powerstroke quiet down. I also have a 2015 ram with 6.7l cummins that I use it in as well. A lot of people say they don't see the point in using these additives, but I have experienced first hand what this new and improved diesel can do to older vehicle pump seals. And yes, our newer trucks are designed with this ULSD in mind, but a little extra lube never hurt anyone and at the mix ratio, it really doesn't hurt your wallet either. This is a must have for LB7 Duramax owners!! I noticed a 1-2 mpg increase. But the real seller was how much it quieted injector knock! The truck used to have a slight haze at idle on first start up and some fuel pressure regulator surge. But now both are completely gone and have stayed away!! Unreal.
Been using XPD in my small Kubota tractor for years and no fuel problems means it's probably doing it's job, but a little PO'd at the recent SAVE5 promo they sent via e-mail. No restrictions stated on minimum purchase etc., so tried to use it to buy another quart bottle (which lasts about a year for my small tractor). Web site wouldn't take the code unless I ordered a 5 gallon pail or more. Emailed them and couldn't get an explanation of why the code didn't work until I figured it out myself. Thank you for fixing my 7.3 powerstroke! My truck's idle has fluctuated up and down for years. I have replaced injectors, HPOP and changed tuners multiple times, but everytime the idle issue was still there. I received my Summer+ treatment yesterday and on my first tank the idle issue was gone! I will definitely be ordering more and trying the other blends of treatment also. Thank you for a great product!
