It's an excellent place. It's not your average pawn shop. The employees are friendly and helpful, and they have knowledgeable people concerning the merchandise they sell, such as musical instruments, weapons, jewelry, and tons of other items. It is a wonderful stop in your tour of historic downtown Lynchburg.
I ♥️ L. Oppleman! This place is an institution! Not to mention, they just sold us the most gorgeous engagement ring for the best price! The owner, Ryan, and his staff are knowledgeable, professional and very helpful.
The only thing that separates this place from an actual circus is the fact that there aren't any animals although the smell might indicate otherwise. This place is run by a bunch of clowns who don't have a clue what customer service is or how to implement it. After being quoted a price on the phone I was told when I got there it was considerably more. Only after talking to the "manager" was I told I would be given the price that I was quoted. I've been using loppleman for 6 plus years, before then my dad, before him my Papa (dad's dad) and the Generation continues. It's sad when you and your family pawn sooo much that every employee in the store knows you on in a first name basis, but it's great customer service so it's a win!! Lol
I personally LOVE to shop at L. Oppleman's for Movies, they have a Great Big selection to choose from and all at great prices! The Staff always has a smile on their face, friendly and helpful, I just keep coming back for more!
