My experience with Dr. Coates was nothing short of excellent. He is very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. I have know Dr. Coats for many, many years. And would recommend him in a minute. The reason I gave this low rating is the optical people on staff, I would not recommend them at all. Very rude on the phone, and this wasnt the first time. They insisted that they informed me my glasses were ready, which I told them I could prove that they did not on the specific date. Along with the fact I had called the day after ... read more

Wish I could have taken my mom to see Dr. Coats since he came highly recommended. Unfortunately the front office staff would not set up the appointment. They insist on collecting the patients social security number over the phone even though there are other safer ways to identify patients for scheduling purposes. I offered to give the social security number when in person but they still refused to set up the appointment.
