I ordered a chicken parm dinner and it was the size of a car’s hubcap!! Very good food. Be STARVING when you come here!
$72 for a filet mignon and you'd expect it to be cooked right. Ordered medium and it was just about mooing at me. Kitchen threw it back on the grill and then I finally take a bite. It was so salty my mouth was burning. Should have expected it when we walked in on a Saturday night and the place was more than half empty.
I don't usually have the money nor the want to go to an expensive restaurants, but I do love steak. My girlfriend decided to take me to the Open Range so I could have a real good steak for my birthday. It wasn't a very busy Wednesday night, plenty of open tables except the 12 top with the oil wigs or whatever paid for there 10 gal hats, we were still seated immediately. We loved this place so much we went twice in the week we stayed in Bozeman. The food was great and they fry in tallow so we enjoyed their amazing fries. The service was outstanding both nights we went (one of which was Valentines). Julia was a fabulous server and fantastic host on our second night in. I highly recommend Open Range for date night or just a good burger and fries.
Solid steakhouse. Great location. Cocktails were very good. The dry age steaks had a great flavor, but lacked tenderness. All around good experience.
