Just adding yet another horrible experience with renting with Open Path Realty. Here is a by-no-means-exhaustive list of what's gone on with my unit for the past three years... - NO HEAT: I realized a few months after moving in that I didn't have adequate heat. The landlord (Hector) tried to blame me multiple times claiming I didn't open up the vents correctly. Seriously don't even bother with this company. The whole thing is a scam. I entered a rental application that took TWO WEEKS to gain any headway on, the realtor Mike was asking for bank statements a whole week after the application was submitted. Why would you be asking for sensitive information that's not even in your application to begin with???? I MUST AGREE WITH EVERY 1 STAR REVIEW WRITTEN ABOUT HECTOR FROM OPEN PATH REALTY. Hector Castaneda from Open Path is your modern day slum lord. I have lived in several apartments and he is by far the rudest and least caring property manager I have ever came across. It took him 3 months to properly provide heat for our unit. Do not do business with Hector Castaneda from Open Path Realty. I feel he does not manage all properties equally and remains unresponsive to our tenant needs and maintenance requests. His lack of caring has affected my family in the most negative way. We have severely suffered through cold nights and hot days. I urge anyone that is reading this to not do business with Open Path Realty—it would be a costly mistake.
