I've been looking for a good local therapist, and I found out Open Mind is in-network with my insurance. I called their office, and someone answered the phone sounding like they were in a call center. Apparently the way this office works is you have a paid intake with a nurse practitioner who then recommends a therapist to you. My insurance requires a referral, so I'd have to come out of pocket before someone could even bother making a recommendation to someone who may be a good fit. Continually sending me requests for payment the day before the therapy session, then failing to credit my account for the payment made. When they cancel the day of the appointment, they don't record that I have a credit. It's one location, but two billing services, which they don't disclose. They've been apologizing about the "transition" of their payment processing service for four months. Starting an inquiry to see if they are engaged in insurance fraud. It feels like a scam.

I’m currently working with Sadiqa and I really like her! I like that you have the ability to choose someone who you relate well to and feel comfortable talking with and she is just that! She constantly encourages me and makes me feel comfortable enough to talk about my feelings which I usually have a tough time doing. She’s also very supportive!
