Very friendly staff, I went to a different grocery and they told me to go to Hell!
You can get fair trade and ethically sourced items here but there's also products that are the opposite of fair trade so watch what you're buying. Staff is friendly and helpful. There's a bulletin board with local events posted to it. Many of the staff are involved in the community in various ways.
I like supporting Open Harvest because it's locally owned. There are many cool items to buy but two I like are the spices offered in bulk so I am able to buy just the amount I need and I know it'll be fresh plus it's very reasonable in price. I also like to buy my honey there in bulk and it's local honey. I like supporting local...perhaps the best reason of all. Mary Metzger
