Neatest Place in Carrboro Fun place. Love the espresso and you can't beat the atmosphere. I meet a friend here about once a month and it's very relaxing when we go. Careful of the floors - clean & shiny, but a little slick after a rain.
Great! I had my first experience at this cafe last weekend. It was a great atmosphere, and I had the espresso shake. It was really good. I will definitely try to return whenever I'm in the area, which I plan to be fairly often.

Great little coffee shop. My husband and I go to Open Eye every few weeks to see meet with friends. Very laid back atmosphere (the floor is bare concrete), and the drinks are wonderful. When you order tea, it comes to you in your very own tea press filled with loose tea and water, so YOU get to determine how strongly it is brewed. If you don't know tea, don't serve it. – During my last (and final) visit, I asked to transfer my tea to a different container to stop the steeping process ("Open Eye" uses French presses to steep tea). After criticizing my request, the manager rolled his eyes and reluctantly handed me an empty container. I don't know how the coffee is at this place, but they don't know the bare basics of tea making, and they have a bad attitude. And the atmosphere? Looks dirty, without any character and it's freezing inside.
Outstanding. – I consume quite a bit of coffee over the course of the week, but I certainly look forward to my weekend mornings at Open Eye. As a coffee lover, I have to say that everything from their mochas to their drip is delicious. I only wish they had more by way of food to nibble on while drinking and playing on their wonderful wi-fi.
