Opah Restaurant

About this business

The Opah, also called the Moonfish, was often thought as good luck if caught by fishermen. The Opah Seafood Grill wants to bring that good future to its patrons and offers friendly service and great food. The creatively prepared and low priced cuisine makes Chef Marc Cohen as extraordinary as his dishes. Whether a small cozy meal with family or enjoying cocktails or international and domestic beers with friends, this is one place you will not want to miss.

Opah is an excellent mediteranean restaurant. There is always a casual, yet classy crowd here, and the service is really good. They have unbelievable seared ahi, and an awesome 'very berry martini', and serve a wonderful variety of meats and seafoods on the menu. Everything is also priced pretty reasonably, so it's a great choice for a nice evening out without breaking the bank to much!

Overrated Yet another restaurant with a martini bar, bistro atmosphere (noisy), and overpriced meals. My wife dragged me to it so that I could have dinner while listening to some clown tell his life story to someone on his cell phone.

Great Food, Great Service I came in just for a glass of wine and appetizers, so I settled for the grilled artichoke (to die for!) and the New Zealand mussels in lemon, butter, garlic broth - the most gorgeous green mussels I have ever seen - and the broth was so delish for dipping hot crusty bread. Yum! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. PROS: Great food, great people watching CONS: Pricey

Opah The last review, dose not have it right. they should stay closer to Lesiure World. This place is for high end classy no rush customers. yes its busy with little standing room. So if your not in any rush to eat and enjoy the potential of meeting new friends, and your age range is 35-60 this is a great after work place to meet and enjoy good food. So if the price is a bit high for you drive by and the rest of us will wave to you as you go though del taco.

Sleazy manager - questionable ethics I went to this restaurant with 10 of my friends tonight. When I ordered the filet mignon, the waiter said, "Would you like house or caesar?" I'm not a big salad fan, as it's cold and it's rabbit food to me, but obligingly, I said, "Caesar, please." When the bill came, the restaurant had charged all 10 mothers $8 each for their salads. I was incredulous, and told the waiter that he did not make it clear that there was an extra charge for salads. His response: "I'll get the manager." Intere... read more

Opah's This is a fairly new Opah's (about 2 or 3 years now). The food quality is excellent, but the prices are a little high for what you get. The portions are small (but I suppose average for this type of restaurant). The service could use some improvement, but it is satisfactory.

This resturant is unbelievable!! I think the whole menu is great. There is so much to choose from and it all tastes amazing. It is not to expensive and the waiters and waitresses are very helpful and kind. They are there to assist you when needed. It is good for families and couples for whatever the occasions are. Definitly try it!!!

It's going down hill..... The salad situation described in the above reviews is a scam, I know personally. The servers are told to, for lack of a better word "sneak" them in on you. They are sales people and get certain shifts according to selling. They do not treat their employees very well as upper management has changed hands to some clown who came from kings fish house. Well if you want to change Opah into king's, you are going in the right direction. It has been noticably slower but they do have the "only place around" ... read more

High Maintenence Scene While Opah's food is delicious and a nice selection of mediterranean fare.....the crowd is too hard to deal with. My husband and I went the other night and had to leave before getting a table, becuase it was too crowded! The martinis are definitely an attraction, since they have such a large selection, but it's not worth it to me. A restaurant should separate the bar and dining so that two crowds can co-exist, but the bar crowd is practically on top of the diners, and doesn't lend itself for a relaxing... read more
