Hotel has been completely updated about a year ago. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have the best in room coffee! Unfortunately the hotel is located on a block that has many vacant buildings. Rooms are incredibly small (think microtel size,) Views are non existant. Out our window was another room's window 15 feet away and to the side was a view of the back and roofs of other buildings. Sorry so late to send this bit I was whining down from my travels to Boston. Overall, I was pleased with the Pennyweight Hotel. Suggestion: The web still shares that there is a full course menu with room service and breakfast is complimentary before 10am. This is not true, and itbis from my understandingupdates will be made. However, the breakfast menu (which they did provide),cooking of the breakfast meal, and service was Excellent!!!! The hotel bar is extremely poorly run, which reflects on the entire establishment. The bartender refused to serve several members of our group, despite being presented with valid IDs. They were out of state IDs, so perhaps one can understand the hesitation. We didn’t say anything, and went on to dinner elsewhere. However, later the same evening, with full permission from the front desk, our group entered the (now closed) bar to run through a presentation around a table.
