The only reason I would give this place 5 stars is because of Jade. She was amazing, professional, and did a fantastic job on my nails. If I could give a review of the lady that was “managing” yesterday I would give her 1 star. She was rude, condescending and passive aggressive, especially when I asked to see an itemized receipt of what I was paying for. I have now been going to Onyx at Brookfield place for some time now and I just love the meticulous finish that I get from Antonina. She is awesome! My only complaint is that today I had my usual manicure which is usually so relaxing. The atmosphere is great and customers wonderful. Today although things were very different, I actually couldn't wait for my manicure to end!!! I called in advance and they said they could take me, and when I get there they said they didn’t have time. Not impressed with the customer service and will not go back
I love this place for the convenience, the friendliness, and the meticulous work put in! Set aside lots of time for a mani, they are super careful but my nails have never lasted as long or looked as good. I do have to dock a star though because after 3 visits, my nails just can't take anymore buffing. For shellac removal, they buff the polish off rather than do a soak, so the last time I got my nails done they were so thin from continuous over-buffing and became very prone to breaking.
