My cat Judah was very sick and getting worse despite several trips to the vet and emerg over a 7-day period. Finally, when he was in severe respiratory distress, the emerg vet recommended taking him to OVC immediately. At OVC, Judah had surgery to remove a foreign object, several post-op complications, and stayed in cat ICU for 4 days. It was a significant amount of money--be prepared if you don't have insurance.
