I had a very unprofessional encounter during an intake call at this center. Not only was the specialist late, but she was dismissive of my mental health history. She cut me off while I was describing my symptoms to suggest they were medical in nature, ignoring my clinical background of depression and CPTSD symptoms. To make matters worse, she abruptly hung up when I said I needed time to think about next steps. This was a very discouraging experience for someone seeking support.
My wife and I had an excellent session with Colleen yesterday. She is very knowledgeable and experienced and we felt we were in good hands.
Thank you Christine for listening, helping me reason what is going on in my life, giving me hope with options of things that can be done. You also mentione, we are heat for you (as the therapy centre) and all the experts if needed. I finished the discussion with hope and the possibility of help. Previous to this, I felt totally alone and hopeless.
