This office may be losing potential donors. Arrived early for a 10 o’clock appointment, which they accommodated. The professionally courteous front office staffer did my intake. Results indicated a pulse of 51, blood pressure of 130/80 & 12.8 hemoglobin. I am 68. I’m not that physically fit to have a pulse rate of 51. I was at two different doctors the day before and my blood pressure, taken manually, was ~120/70. BPM 75. I understand these values can vary but these seem excessive. I've never been so dissatisfied with service at a blood donation center or a donation bus in my life. This place is so impersonal and could care less if you are there to help save lives. Appointments mean nothing. The staff at the front desk makes you feel like you are bothering them. They ignore everyone and just don't care. I wanted to donate my O negative blood as 100% of the population can take it, but I will not be treated this way. Never again.
