After three horrible experiences at your Lake Mary center I decided to see if Altamonte Springs would be any better. I have to say Ignacio, the technician who helped me provided service that was night and day compared to Lake Mary. Ignacio was friendly, helpful and a true professional. This is the kind of people you want want working and running your donation centers. Good afternoon everyone! I donated blood to the one blood bus and I thought a $20 e gift card would be the prize, unfortunately I now have the magic tickets. I submitted a request to have a staff member contact me to discuss. The first employee said they did not have the correct phone number and would get fired for talking further with me. I checked the phone number before I donated and so did the associate. I requested to speak to a supervisor and they hung up on me. Not kidding.Won't ever be going back. I am beyond upset. I often donate to One blood as I have a rare blood type. I recently received an offer for $50 e-gift card to donate platelets. It's NOT about the gift card or t-shirts, half the time I don't even take the free gifts I do it for the kids with Cancer! So, I show up at this location at 1:15 and was told by Monica "Oh I can't take you, you had to be here by 1pm" Are you kidding me!! #1 nowhere on this notice does it say BE there by 1pm #2 she could have taken me as it does NOT and NEVER has taken 2 full hours ... read more
Great staff. I had made an appointment online which showed as a platelets visit once I confirmed the appointment. The next day which was my appointment the provider called to ask if I could come in earlier. I was glad he called because during our conversation I let him know that I was only giving whole blood. After eating a good dose of iron I made it to my appointment early. It was my first time giving blood and they were awesome. I even got some swag a T-shirt and a $20 gift card. I plan to revisit them in 3 months.
The best place to donate. The staff is super professional and very polite. Monika is very knowledgeable and always keeps an eye on the process.
