Was super excited to move into my apartment at One West Jackson, however, I noticed small brown roaches (9 roaches in the first 48 hours) upon move in. I found the experience especially frustrating because I specifically asked during the tour if the unit (this was a ground floor studio) ever received complaints or reports about roaches and was told "no", by the leasing agent. I would not recommend living here based on my experience. When I moved out, I was charged for “cleaning” and “repainting” even though I left the apartment in the same condition it was given to me in ! Place was dirty, with dead roaches inside when I first moved in. They claimed the appliances needed cleaning, but they were already clean when I left. I only received about $200 back from my $1,175 deposit, which feels unfair and like payback because I once asked them to reschedule a tour because I was out of town !! Who wants ... read more

I have lived here for a year and liked it a lot. The staff through Monroe Properties communicate very well but aren’t intrusive. Everyone has been very nice and patient with me without fail!
