One Stop Kitchen Shop tried to STEAL the deposit (several thousand!) we had placed to hold some granite scraps (remnants). They had informed us that the deposit was refundable, but later changed their mind. Our credit card company investigated and found in our favor. Vendor claimed their 'Estimate' was a 'Contract' – it clearly said it was NOT a Contract. One Stop Kitchen Shop had a 4.3 star rating on Google and held a completely complaint free BBB rating for 2013. As always, in a service industry, not all customers can be served to the level they expect. That is why aligned expectations for a quality installed product are documented and signed by each customer. We noticed a dip in customer service 5-6 months ago and the person responsible is no longer a member of this family owned, family oriented company.
Would give ZERO stars!!!! It has been SIX months since we paid the 50% deposit (Nov 11, 2013). It is now MAY 20, 2014. We have called several times, gone to the store and they look at me like i'm crazy for wanting the job done or issuing a full refund! They will not give us a refund, let alone talk to anyone from there. My experience with One Stop was not a good one. My estimate changed dramatically, their contractors damaged my kitchen, and the granite pieces they installed were measured incorrectly. Worst of all, One Stop initially refused to redo the botched job. (I requested a 1.5 inch overhang along all edges, but received overhangs varying from over 2 inches along some edges to less than 1 inch along others. The seams looked terrible.
