I have been a customer for the last 8 years at Once Upon A Child in Franklin tn and have always been amazed at the customer service they provide every time I shop. I buy from them and sell to them and have never had a complaint. Great quality items at amazing prices.
I am not sure what MaryKatherine C's experience was all about, but I started going to Once Upon a Child about a month ago. I shop there as well as sell my 4 kids' clothes. The customer service is always outstanding every time I go in there. If I am looking for something, one of the employees always helps me look for it instead of just telling me where to find it. Super rude, poor selection- I recently took some of my step childrens clothes in. Im not unrealistic about how much I should get for used clothes. I used to work at a consignmemnt store. They are incredibly rude, zero customer service skills. They act as if they are doing you a favor by giving you .50 for a winter coat in good condition. I brought in some very nice boys items, which they never take any of, simply because they aren't GAP or Polo. I went here 9/16/13 for the first time and not happy at all they were rude as soon as we got there I brought a lot of clothes and shoes and they said that it had to be in a box which I was fine with it just the way they said it, then they only took 12 items and I got $10.80 for it and one of the shoes were new and when I asked why that was all they wanted they said the rest use to used but when I was look around I saw a lot for stuff that was more worn out then anything that I brought in. I've shopped at many children's consignment shops and this is my favorite. Great selection and prices. They are pretty particular when I've tried to sell items to them but that's good when you are buying. They don't pay the most for items but again, that helps them have great prices. I think they have a new owner recently so hope they don't change it too much. By the way, best selection for bigger kids that I've ever found. Please keep it up!
Once upon a child in Monroeville is a joke. First, they seem to only market to the white crowd. I took in 250 items and they only bought 11 for $13.00. I had brand new Nike Shocks, and a few pair of Jordans & Timberlands (all Girls) size 8 toddler and they didn't even buy those! I also had Roca wear, Black Label, Derron and other name brands and some were not name brand but the ones I took to sell, were ALL in mint condition! Overpriced items and poor customer service. – As a consigner you would expect good treatment when dropping off clothing that adhers to the policy of the establishment. Of all of the times I have consigned there they have rarely accepted my clean, pressed, barely used toys & clothing. Although, when I do purchase clothing there I find many items that are faded, stained, and plain outdated while shopping for the quality items that their own policy prohibits. Disappointing customer service – I sold a rather large amount of children's clothes to this place recently. I was very disappointed with the lack of friendliness, warmth and helpfulness that the employees exhibited both on the phone and in the store from the beginning of my experience to the end. Fabulous Loyalty Card Program – Once Upon a Child in Longmont has great prices, and a loyalty card program that is one of the best I've ever participated in. You get a card stamp for every $10 that you buy and bring in for trade. So if you bring in a load of clothes and they take $70 of trade in, you get $70 store credit AND seven stamps on your card.
