Rude All I have to say about this place is the staff is so rude, rude, rude! I am so suprised this place stays in business. Good idea to put all the toys so high and out of sight that the only way to see what is up there is to ask for help. And when you ask for help they seem so bothered. I understand that the children that go into the store trash the toy section but I really don't think the answer is to put the toys out of reach and sight of the customers. Just be wary with toys. – Not the best once upon a child. I am a huge fan of the chain. I have stopped in the Danbury store on more than a few occassions, each time is worse than the last to the point where I have stopped shopping here. Normally the toy section is a horrible mess and you can barely walk without nearly tripping. The clothing is o.k. and they do have a very large selection. GREAT DEALS AT ONCE UPON A CHILD DANBURY – I enjoy shopping at Once Upon A Child. Love the great finds on name brand clothing like Abercrombie, American Eagle, Hollister, Nike and Adidas etc. Instead of spending $40 on one item at the mall, I can get a whole bag of name brand clothes for less. The staff is always attentive and helpful when looking for something specific. Once Upon A Dream I am so shocked by some of the reviews I just read. I have shopped at Once Upon A Child on numerous occassions. Each and every time I have been there, I have been greeted with warm friendly smiles. The staff is so kind and helpful. When I was looking for certain books, the owner actaully took my name and number and called me when they came in. Who does that? The best part was that the books were only $1.00 each. I agree once upon a nightmare! Are they serious?!?! This is one of the worst CS I have ever been to. The ladies behind the counter are beyond rude, the clothes on the racks have horrible wash wear, stains, and just look over used. I went the other day with a bag full of clothes nwt gap, bloomingdales, even some uggs that were like new and some other things my daughter has outgrown. Once a upon a nightmare is right! – This has to be the worst store ever. The clothes are in HORRIBLE condition on the racks- wash wears, stains. I went in the other day to drop off stuff they didn't take back 80% of the stuff I had even though it was nwt! what they did take amazed me because it one piece of a matching set, or bottoms to a bathing suit leaving me with the top half??? I don't understand that one. Also the older spanish lady has a BAD attitude and needs to learn some manners. Avoid this store
loved!! Would go back!! Loved my experience both selling and purchasing. The prices were great and I walked away with bogs full of great quality items (clothes and stroller) for my little one. And the girls behind the counter were so nice they answered all my questions.
A better alternative If folks want an alternative that isn't too far. Jump on 7 and get off at exit 12 in Brookfield. We opened a nice alternative called Kidz Korner Thrift Shop. We accept donations of women's, maternity and anything child appropriate. We give tax reciepts instead of buying the items or consigning. This way our prices out beat everyones hands down. Best Deal for BOOKS!! Just purchased tons of summer reading books for my kids. What a great deal....most books were only $1 and they even had a sale BUY3 Get 1 FREE. Magic Tree house, Junie B Jones, Dr.Seuss all for buck. They said I can even sell them back once my kids are done! Way to recycle and save. We love Once Upon A CHILD in Danbury, we are super fans!
