Misleading 4 star rating. Rooms have old furniture that shows its age and the sliding door for the bathroom and main door for the room made so much noise that it became irritable. The elevators are also antiquated and need serious modernization. Gym is subpar but you can still manage to sneak a workout in. Bar drinks are reasonable but food is mediocre.

I stayed here for 4 nights back in April 2007. I think the thing that struck me the most was the high level of service. I never touched the front door the whole time I was there. Someone always opened it for me. When I needed a cab, no problem. A bellman would run out and stop one. I had excellent food in the onsite restaurant where I ate every morning. Perfect if you’re going on a cruise line - you can see the ships come in and walk to your ship in the morning, it’s about 2 blocks. A great hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. Located right by a little mall and the aquarium.
In short, pick another hotel. When I arrived for my room, a reservation that I made 5 months ago, I was told the hotel oversold - I booked when it was still the Omni - and saw a long list of other 'overbooked' names. Clearly, the transition/merger was less than stellar despite receiving an email only a few months ago that stated despite the merger, my reservation would be honored. It was not.
